Job summary

STAR, Inc. in Norwalk, CT is seeking compassionate Overnight Residential Instructors to care for adults with developmental/intellectual disabilities during the night. You will monitor residents, respond to needs per their plan, and support safe, comfortable conditions in the home.

The role requires a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, and a caring, team-oriented attitude. Shifts typically run 11pm–9am, 3–4 nights per week with weekend rotation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license and at least 1 year of driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Overnight care and well-being of residents from night into morning.
• Check on residents as needed and per their plan, addressing issues during shift.
• Attend to household tasks at night while residents sleep.
• Help residents get ready in the morning, assist with personal care, breakfast, and transportation when needed.
• Coordinate with morning and evening shifts to ensure safety and consistency.
