Vincentian Schenley Gardens in Pittsburgh is seeking a compassionate Resident Aide to support residents with daily living activities, companionship, and personal care on the overnight shift (11:00pm-7:00am, Mon-Fri with every other weekend rotation).

This full-time role offers shift differentials for overnight and weekend hours, a patient-centered environment, and opportunities to work with nursing staff to promote safety and quality of life for residents.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Previous resident care experience or related training preferred.
• Compassionate, dependable, and respectful approach to working with older adults.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to respond appropriately to the physical and emotional needs of residents.

Responsabilidades

• Assist residents with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal care.
• Provide assistance with dining, transportation, and resident activities.
• Complete light housekeeping duties as needed.
• Escort residents and assist with internal transportation needs.
• Observe residents and report changes to the nurse.
• Conduct resident rounds and room checks to promote safety and well-being.
• Report safety hazards, incidents, accidents, and other concerns appropriately.
• Participate in resident-centered activities and help create a welcoming environment.
• Respond appropriately during emergencies and disasters.
• Protect resident rights and maintain confidentiality.
• Work collaboratively with nursing staff and other team members to meet residents’ needs.
• Treat residents, families, visitors, and coworkers with kindness, respect, and dignity.

Vincentian Schenley Gardens, located in the heart of Pittsburgh in Oakland, is looking for a compassionate and dependable Resident Aideto join our team!

As a Resident Aide, you’ll make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents by providing hands-on support, companionship, and assistance with their daily needs.
