Job summary

Vincentian Home in Pittsburgh, PA seeks an RN or LPN to join our compassionate nursing team. This full-time role covers 3:00 PM–11:00 PM, Monday–Friday, and involves hands-on, resident-centered care in a 24-hour facility.

You will assess residents, implement care plans, review orders, maintain records, and collaborate with physicians and staff to ensure high-quality care while upholding dignity and respect for residents.

Qualifications

• Current Pennsylvania RN or LPN license in good standing required.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Experience in long-term care desirable.
• Strong clinical knowledge and nursing skills.

Registered Nurse (RN) / Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Full Time | 3:00 PM–11:00 PM, Monday–Friday

Vincentian Home is looking for a compassionate and dependable RN or LPN to join our nursing team. In this role, you’ll provide hands-on, resident-centered nursing care while working collaboratively with residents, families, physicians, and fellow members of the care team.

What You’ll Do

As an RN/LPN, you’ll be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to an assigned group of residents. You’ll:

• Assess resident needs and conditions and help develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.
• Provide and supervise resident care within the scope of your nursing license and established care plans.
• Admit and orient new residents and review medical, social, and pre-admission information.
• Review and implement physician orders, including medications, treatments, diets, diagnostic services, and other prescribed care.
• Maintain accurate resident records, including MARs, TARs, narcotic records, care plans, assessments, and required documentation.
• Monitor and report changes in residents’ conditions and communicate concerns to physicians and the nursing team.
• Assist physicians with procedures and examinations and participate in resident care conferences.
• Coordinate referrals for residents' spiritual, psychological, and other support needs.
• Provide guidance, instruction, and supervision to nursing staff and assist with orientation and training of new employees.
• Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to provide comprehensive resident care.
• Perform or supervise personal care and other nursing-related services in accordance with resident care plans.
• Maintain a safe environment and follow infection control, safety, risk management, and emergency procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident and staff information.
• Attend required continuing education programs and unit staff meetings.
• Support Vincentian's Code of Ethical Conduct and Compliance Program by promptly reporting suspected compliance, fraud, abuse, ethics, or policy violations.
• Follow all facility and department policies, procedures, and work rules.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

• Current Pennsylvania RN or LPN license in good standing required.
• Previous experience in long-term care preferred.
• Current CPR certification preferred.
• Strong clinical knowledge and nursing skills, including assessment, treatment, and resident care.
• Knowledge of nursing procedures, sterile and aseptic techniques, and significant signs and symptoms of disease.
• Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office, electronic health records, keyboarding, and basic office equipment.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with residents, families, physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team members.
