Job summary

PACS Group is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a full-time overnight shift in a skilled nursing facility. The role includes resident assessments, care planning, medication administration, and collaboration with physicians and the care team to promote safety and quality of life.

Requirements include an active RN license, graduation from an accredited nursing program, and CPR/BLS certification. Prior experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of employment.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• CPR/BLS certification as required by the facility.
• Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, or geriatric nursing preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, organizational, and critical-thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess residents' physical, emotional, and medical needs and document findings accurately.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and facility policies.
• Monitor residents for changes in condition and communicate concerns to healthcare providers.
• Supervise and support LPNs and CNAs as applicable.
• Maintain accurate medical records, progress notes, and medication documentation.
• Coordinate physician visits, diagnostic testing, treatments, and follow-up care.
• Respond to emergencies and initiate appropriate nursing interventions.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, infection control standards, and facility policies.
• Promote resident dignity, safety, comfort, and quality of life.
• Participate in quality assurance initiatives and interdisciplinary care conferences.
