Job summary

Sika is looking for an experienced Machine Operator to join its Roofing team in the Canton, MA area. The position runs on the V shift: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and every other Wednesday, 6 pm to 6 am.

You will support a PLC controlled 120 wide tandem PVC extrusion coating line, including setup, operation, breakdown and cleaning, while developing processing parameters to optimize line speeds and yields.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience with plastics, vinyl coating, lamination or printing preferred.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Capable of lifting 50 pounds.
• Able to work overtime and cover shifts as needed.
• Willing to operate in extreme temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Support a PLC controlled extrusion coating line.
• Set up, operate, breakdown and clean line components.
• Develop processing parameters to optimize line speeds and yields.
• Safely operate forklifts to move materials.
• Ensure proper quality reviews on designated workstations.
• Follow all company policies and environmental guidelines.
• Perform miscellaneous tasks as assigned.
