Job summary

AWIP is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead a manufacturing team in an overnight shift at our East Stroudsburg facility. You will plan and assign work, enforce safety, and collaborate with other departments to meet production goals.

The role requires strong leadership, lean manufacturing knowledge, and hands-on coaching of staff. You will work with Quality and Operations to maintain AWIP's high standards, ensure training, and report on performance.

Qualifications

• BA or BS degree preferred, with two plus years of experience and/or training.
• Five or more years of industry-related experience or training preferred.
• Must maintain appropriate forklift certification.
• At least three years managing teams. Good leadership abilities; experience supervising, coaching, and disciplining employees.
• Strong knowledge of plant operations and Continuous Improvement/Lean Manufacturing principles; focused on delivering results.
• Proven ability to manage, coach, and develop employees.
• Ability to interface with regulatory agencies.
• Proficient in Excel, Word and other general software programs.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and assign personnel; establish priorities; monitor progress; adjust schedules as needed.
• Be the safety leader on the production floor; enforce safety policies and correct infractions immediately.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and Shipping to set production schedules including changeovers and special projects.
• Complete production plans by scheduling personnel, monitoring progress, and resolving problems.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Coach and develop employees; manage performance and conduct; make employment recommendations.
• Communicate job expectations; monitor results; provide feedback and discipline when necessary.
• Balance safety, quality, productivity, cost, and morale; pursue continuous improvement.
• Manage departmental performance measures and provide progress reports to leadership.
