Job summary

Clayton Homes in Rocky Top, TN, seeks a Pilot/Escort Driver to support Clayton Connect. You will travel with oversize loads, assist with on-route preparations, and ensure safe navigation with a team.

Expect 2–3 overnight stays weekly and a role centered on safety, communication, and teamwork. Responsibilities include prepping homes for shipment, flagging hazards, and coordinating with Toter drivers and retailers.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License (may require endorsements)
• Motor Vehicle Report & background checks as per policy
• Ability to perform physical tasks (lift up to 50 lbs) and inspect vehicles

Responsibilities

• Prepare homes for shipment and accompany on routes
• Coordinate with Toter driver and retailers via CB radio
• Navigate routes, call out hazards, ensure safe delivery
• Maintain logs and compliance with state pilot/escort requirements
