Clayton Connect is seeking a Pilot/Escort Driver to work with the Connect Toter team, shipping oversized loads from Clayton Manufacturing locations to retailers. The role requires regular travel, team coordination, and adherence to safety protocols.

The position is full-time with overtime potential, requiring nights away from home and the ability to read and follow complex road regulations. Clayton emphasizes a strong culture, benefits, and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License and may require endorsements.
• Pass background check and drug testing as per company policy.
• Must obtain/maintain a P/EVO and Defensive Driving Certification.
• Overnight availability 2–3 nights per week.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform inspections.
• Willing to operate a motor vehicle in all 48 states and read bills of lading.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing the home for shipment.
• Pilot/Escort the home, calling hazards and securing lanes.
• Maintain communication with the Toter driver via CB radio.
• Maintain communication with Retailers.
• Understand state-specific Pilot/Escort requirements.
• Represent the company while driving and on-site.
