Job summary

Clayton is seeking a full-time Pilot/Escort Driver to work with the Clayton Connect team, ensuring safe transport of oversized loads. The role requires travel with overnight stays 2–3 nights weekly, coordinating with the Toter driver and retailers, and maintaining safety and compliance throughout the routes.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license; endorsements may be required.
• Motor Vehicle Record and background check per policy.
• Must pass company drug testing and follow policies.
• Must obtain/maintain a P/EVO and Defensive Driving Certification.
• Overnight stays 2–3 nights per week.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation of the home for shipment and secure cargo.
• Pilot/Escort the home along routes; call out hazards and manage lanes.
• Maintain CB radio communication with Toter driver and retailers.
• Read and understand state-specific pilot/escort requirements.
• Represent Clayton in a professional manner at all times.
