Job summary

NYU Langone Health is seeking an overnight Pharmacy Technician (12a-8a) with NYS registration and 2 years of experience. Under pharmacist supervision you will perform stock management, order processing, IV preparation, and aseptic technique in a compliant environment.

You will work with Epic for receiving and labeling, assist in inventory management, and support pharmacists in maintaining patient medication profiles and unit-dose distribution in a high-demand hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and 2 years of experience as a Pharm Tech or completion of NYU Pharmacy Technician training.
• Knowledge of medical and pharmaceutical terminology and procedures for labeling and dispensing drugs.
• Proficiency with computers and basic Microsoft programs.
• Pharmacy Technician certification and NYS registration.”

Responsibilities

• Completes annual competency assessments.
• Stores and secures stock; reviews for expired medications.
• Places and expedites orders; verifies receipts; records receiving in Epic and supplier websites.
• Maintains inventory and handles IV room procedures and sterile compounding under pharmacist supervision.
• Prepares and documents sterile product compounding; adheres to 340B requirements.
• Maintains pharmacy files and supports pharmacists in patient medication profiles.
