Job summary

Baptist Convalescent Center, Inc. is seeking a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) for the 10 pm to 6 am shift at our Kentucky facility.

Responsibilities include delivering direct personal care per each resident's care plan, assisting with meals and mobility, maintaining clean rooms, and supporting QAPI efforts under the Nurse Manager. Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and demonstrate excellent customer service, communication, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Demonstrates knowledge of and ability to apply principles of customer service to a high degree.
• Demonstrates ability to communicate well through speech, written word and body language.
• Ability to foster teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Learn and become proficient in essential job functions of a PCA under supervision.
• Attend trainings to build understanding of QAPI work.
• Carry out QAPI roles and responsibilities as assigned.
• Follow established policies and procedures in support of QAPI efforts.
• Support QAPI efforts both verbally and non-verbally, including adjusting performance and practice per findings.
• Demonstrates excellence in customer service and person-centered care.
• Delivers direct personal care tasks per care plans.
• Maintains resident rooms in a tidy condition with respect for residents' rights and preferences.
• Assists with meals and transport as needed.
• Reports incidents and abuse per facility policy.
• Completes annual continuing education and attends staff meetings.
