Job summary

Homecare Company Of Tennessee is hiring Personal Care Attendants (PCA) for the Knoxville area to provide non-medical home care during the 7P-7A night shift. The PCA will assist with ADLs/IADLs, mobility, feeding, and companionship under RN supervision.

Responsibilities include documenting visits, communicating with the care team, and maintaining client confidentiality. Candidates must be 18+, pass background checks and a drug screen, hold a valid driver’s license, and have reliable

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License and Car Insurance.
• Must have reliable transportation without needing others for transportation.
• Demonstrates sympathetic attitude toward care of the sick.
• Good verbal and written communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with ADLs: bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, oral hygiene.
• Support mobility needs: transferring, positioning, ambulation as directed by RN.
• Assist with feeding and hydration per care plans.
• Observe and report changes to supervising nurse immediately.
• Perform light housekeeping to maintain a safe, sanitary home.
• Assist with meal preparation per dietary guidelines.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Run errands or accompany clients to appointments as needed.
• Accurately document care and observations in daily notes.
• Communicate effectively with care team and family as necessary.
• Maintain client confidentiality per HIPAA regulations.
