Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer for Full Time Patrol Service in San Francisco, CA. You will patrol shelter areas, monitor access, and provide excellent customer service to residents, staff, and visitors.

This role requires vigilance and a professional presence during overnight shifts. As a Patrol Officer you will engage with the community, respond to incidents, and maintain detailed reports while working with emergency responders as needed.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Employment may involve background checks as required by law.
• A drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and/or clients by following security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and disturbances calmly, following procedures and documenting activity.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of shelter areas, entrances, and perimeters to identify hazards.
• Monitor access points and assist with entry processes and reporting unauthorized access.
• Maintain daily activity, incident reports, and shift communications with site staff.
