Job summary

Northwell Health's Danbury Hospital seeks a part-time Patient Access representative to support registration, scheduling, and insurance eligibility verification. Shifts include overnight 11:30pm-7:30am, 24 hours per week, with occasional weekends and holidays.

You will greet patients, collect demographics, verify insurance, provide estimates, and enter data in EMR systems. Minimum education HS Diploma with related experience; NAHAM certification preferred within one year.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required with at least 2 years related experience.
• Associate degree preferred.
• NAHAM certification within one year of hire.
• Experience with insurance eligibility verification and scheduling workflow is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and family with professionalism and provide directions.
• Check in patients and verify appointment details and location.
• Verify insurance eligibility and collect preliminary patient information.
• Enter demographic and financial data accurately to support payment processes.
• Provide service estimates and collect patient liabilities as applicable.
• Perform other registration-related duties as assigned.
