Job summary

Amazon Inc. is seeking an Area Manager to lead a team of hourly employees and ensure safety, quality, attendance, and performance targets are met across delivery operations.

You will engage your team during shifts to maintain customer delivery promises and collaborate with Safety, Ops Integration, Loss Prevention and HR to drive objectives. The role requires openness to a training period away from the home site and a flexible overnight schedule, with shifts that may be adjusted to business

• Experience leading hourly employees in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong safety and quality orientation.
• Willingness to work 10-hour overnight shifts and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor, and motivate your team
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises
• Collaborate with all support teams including Safety, Ops Integration, Loss Prevention and Human Resources to develop plans to meet business objectives
• Lift up to 49 pounds, stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach, as well as continuously climb and descend stairs
• Work in an environment where the noise level varies and is subject to variable temperatures and weather (delivery stations include outside loading departments, and grocery locations include refrigerated environments)
• Work a flexible schedule (weekends and/or overnight shifts)
