Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Area Manager to lead a team of hourly employees at our Anchorage operation. You will drive safety, quality, attendance, and performance while ensuring on-time deliveries to customers in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll mentor staff, coordinate with Safety, Loss Prevention, HR, and Ops teams to meet business objectives, and adapt to shifts that may include weekends, overnights, and varying schedules. This role requires physical stamina and flexibility across the operation.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon experience.
• Flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor, and motivate your team.
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises.
• Collaborate with Safety, Ops Integration, Loss Prevention and HR to meet business objectives.
• Lift up to 49 pounds and stand/walk up to 12 hours on shift, with stairs.
• Work in environments with variable temperatures and weather, including outside loading areas.
• Work a flexible schedule (weekends and/or overnight shifts).
