Job summary

DuPage County Health Department is seeking a Crisis Services team member to provide emergency and crisis intervention for residents in need. This on-call role requires overnight availability and ensures rapid response for mental health or substance use crises within the Crisis Recovery Center framework.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's or Master's in Psychology or related field, with two years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Psychology or related field.
Two years of experience with chronically mentally ill populations.
On-call overnight availability is required.
Attendance at HR orientation is required.

Responsibilities

Provides emergency and crisis intervention services to individuals and families.
Conducts crisis evaluations on-site.
Support individuals on the Adult Mental Health Unit and Youth Mental Health Unit.
Maintains required training, licensure and/or certification.
Consults with staff concerning client and program issues and provides other case management services.
Works collaboratively with community providers.
Complete documentation within established timeframes.
Maintains confidentiality of privileged information and adheres to privacy laws.
Demonstrates sensitivity to diverse cultures and backgrounds.
Adheres to department guidelines for attendance and punctuality.
Uses Electronic Client Record and call management software.
Demonstrates independent judgment.
Participates in emergency response activities.
