Job summary

Penn State Health St Joseph Medical Center Neonatology team seeks an experienced Physician Assistant to join our overnight NICU, well-baby nursery, and delivery room. The PA will manage overnight NICU patients, collaborating with attendings and a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care.

An in-house Respiratory Therapist assists deliveries; the unit handles 1,000–1,500 births yearly. After orientation, the PA will be credentialed to practice independently within Neonatology.

Qualifications

• PA program graduate and PA licensure in Pennsylvania.
• Mandatory national certification in PA or reciprocal state.

Responsibilities

• Oversee overnight NICU care in Level II NICU.
• Collaborate with attending physicians and multidisciplinary team.
• Coordinate care in well-baby nursery and delivery room.
• Credentialing to practice independently after orientation.
