Job summary

Penn State Health – St. Joseph Medical Group in Reading, PA is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to join our Neonatology team in a Level II NICU.

This PRN overnight role supports newborn care in the NICU, well-baby nursery and delivery room, with in-house Respiratory Therapist and on-call Neonatologist for overnight consultations. You are a graduate of an AMA approved PA program, with PA licensure in Pennsylvania, BLS and NRP certifications, and at least two years of NICU or critical

Qualifications

• AMA approved Physician Assistant Program or higher degree meeting licensure requirements in PA
• National certification in PA or reciprocity and PA licensure
• BLS and NRP certifications
• Two years of experience as a Physician Assistant

Responsibilities

• Oversee overnight care for NICU patients both independently and with the neonatal team
• Coordinate with attending physicians, peers, and multidisciplinary care team to ensure high-quality newborn care
• Credential to practice independently within Neonatology after orientation
