Job summary

British American Household Staffing seeks an overnight newborn care specialist in McLean, VA, to care for a newborn son for 12–16 weeks starting December 2026. The role runs 10:00 pm–7:00 am, five to seven nights weekly, with notes to the daytime nanny and optional live‑in accommodations.

The ideal candidate has newborn experience, a calm presence, and reliable written communication. Requirements include in-home overnight experience, fluent English, strong references, up-to-date vaccinations,

Qualifications

• In-home overnight care for newborns
• Fluent in English; Spanish is welcome but not required
• Excellent references
• Up-to-date vaccinations including MMR, DTaP, Tdap, Varicella, Hib, influenza, and COVID-19
• Legal to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Overnight newborn care including feeding, burping, diapering, and soothing
• Bottle preparation and overnight feedings, and supporting feeding routines as directed by the parents
• Following safe sleep practices at all times
• Keeping a detailed overnight log of feedings, diapers, and sleep
• Leaving clear written notes or texting updates for the parents and the daytime nanny at the end of each shift
• Sleep and schedule support to help establish a healthy, predictable routine
• Baby-related household tasks limited to the baby’s needs (bottles, sterilizing, laundry, nursery maintenance)
