Job summary

British American Household Staffing seeks two experienced Newborn Care Specialists to provide overnight care in Mill Valley, CA for about 3 to 4 months after the birth of a second child, due January 24, 2027.

The team will cover nights (9:00 PM–7:00 AM) with two NCS, ideally one Mon–Fri and the other Sat–Sun, or a Mon–Thu plus Fri–Sun split. Local live-out candidates preferred to ensure consistency.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on newborn care for 0–3 months old newborns.
• Excellent knowledge of safe sleep practices and newborn guidance.
• Strong communication with parents and ability to educate.
• Calm, confident, and adaptable demeanor.
• Flexible, collaborative approach and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Overnight newborn care from 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
• Support feeding, burping, diapering, soothing, and settling.
• Monitor sleep and feeding patterns; communicate observations.
• Follow safe sleep practices and maintain a safe environment.
• Log feeds and observations in Baby Connect; share updates.
• Provide handoffs and collaborate on routines with the family.
