Job summary

People Incorporated Mental Health Services in Minneapolis, MN is seeking a Full-Time Mental Health Support Specialist for the Deaf Supported Living program. This overnight role runs Sunday–Thursday 11:00 PM–7:30 AM, with a $1/hour shift differential and a $1,000 hiring bonus.

Salary is listed at $20.50 per hour. You will provide onsite client care, document in the EHR, administer medications, and deliver crisis intervention and daily living skills coaching.

Qualifications

• The ability to pass the screening required by Federal Human Services Office of Inspector General to assure the employee has not been excluded from working in the Health Care Programs which receive federal funding.
• Ability to pass a Criminal Background Check.
• Current driver’s license along with a good driving record and valid insurance, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Must have physical presence onsite.
• Document interactions with clients into organization’s Electronic Health Record (EHR) and if applicable, program-specific documentation/record-keeping system, while providing clear and concise communication with client, staff and other applicable parties.
• Effectively interact and exhibit behavior that is consistent with customer service and professional standards established by the organizational, division and program.
• Responsible for medication administration in accordance with organization and program policies and procedures.
• Using person-centered principles, actively engage with clients in their daily activities, and develop and maintain appropriate relationships that support the client in meeting their individual goals.
• Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation for clients experiencing mental health symptoms or other emotional responses while prioritizing client and program safety.
• Independent Living Skills, teaching and/or coaching, as it relates to the individual’s goal and/or treatment plans.
• Full-time staff are part of an on-call rotation
• Attend mandatory team meetings.
