Job Summary

The Overnight Closer (Member Services Representative) will be responsible for creating a positive member experience by providing a superior level of customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests. You will also be responsible for closing that day’s shift and creating an accurate bank deposit.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Greet members, prospective members, and guests, providing exceptional customer service.
2. Handle all front desk activities including:
   • Answer phones in a friendly manner and assist callers with questions.
   • Check members into the system.
   • Sign up new members.
   • Take prospective members on tours.
3. Facilitate updates to members’ accounts.
4. Respond to member questions and concerns promptly and professionally, escalating to the Manager as needed.
5. Maintain the neatness and cleanliness of the club.
6. Close the shift by balancing the cash drawer, generating daily reports, and verifying entries.
7. Create the bank deposit for the next day.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Customer service background preferred.
• Basic computer skills.

• Exceptional customer service skills, able to interact positively and professionally with members and co-workers, exceeding expectations.
• Strong listening skills, empathy, and problem-solving abilities.
• Diplomatic behavior and appropriate language use in all interactions.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Physical Demands

• Stand and walk continually during the shift.
• Speak in person or on the phone throughout the shift.
• Work overnight hours from 10 pm to 6 am.
• Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
