Job summary

Columbia Sportswear Company is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic III for our Portland Distribution Center. You will maintain and repair conveyors and related systems to keep operations running smoothly on the graveyard shift, 9:50 PM–6:20 AM, with a $1.50/hour differential.

We require 5–7 years of warehouse equipment experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and proficiency with hand and power tools. Physical work includes climbing and lifting up to 40 pounds as needed.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience maintaining warehouse equipment.
• Solid understanding of safety protocols including hazard communication, lockout/tagout, and emergency procedures.
• Intermediate computer skills.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools and a strong mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on conveyors, forklifts, lighting, and plumbing.
• Maintain detailed logs of maintenance activities.
• Complete tasks assigned by Maintenance Supervisor/Manager safely and timely.
• Occasionally perform light janitorial duties and other facility-related tasks.
• Lift and carry up to 40 pounds regularly.
• Foster open communication across departments to support smooth operations.
