Job summary

Columbia Sportswear is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic III for our Portland Distribution Center. You will maintain and repair equipment with focus on conveyors and sorter systems, ensuring motors, lighting, and plumbing remain in top condition.

The role requires 5-7 years of warehouse maintenance experience, strong safety knowledge, and reliable teamwork in a fast-paced environment. Portland-based, full-time with graveyard shift differential.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience maintaining warehouse equipment.
• Solid understanding of safety protocols including hazard communication, lockout/tagout, and emergency procedures.
• Intermediate computer skills.
• Physical ability to climb ladders, stand for long periods, and move freely.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools and a strong mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on warehouse and office equipment, including conveyors, forklifts, racking, lighting, fire protection, and plumbing systems.
• Maintain detailed logs of all maintenance activities.
• Complete tasks assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor/Manager in a safe and timely manner.
• Occasionally perform light janitorial duties and other facility-related tasks.
• Lift and carry up to 40 pounds regularly.
• Foster open, positive communication across departments to support smooth operations.
