Job summary

The Omni Homestead Resort & Spa in Virginia seeks a dedicated security team member to safeguard guests and colleagues, enforce hotel policies, and document all assignments for the Director of Loss Prevention.

Responsibilities include patrolling the property, responding to calls, investigating incidents, assisting guests and staff, monitoring access, and supporting emergency procedures while maintaining confidentiality and a professional demeanor.

Qualifications

• Able to stand and walk for up to 8 hours per shift.
• Available for overnight shifts.
• Effective communication by telephone, email, radio and reporting.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Must be able to reach various areas of the hotel/resort quickly.
• First Aid/CPR Certification is preferred.
• Remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Flexible schedule including day, evening, overnight shifts, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Patrol property to protect guests, staff and assets.
• Respond to house calls to assist guests and associates with safety and hotel operations.
• Initiate and follow up on investigations of crimes against property or persons.
• Assist sick/injured guests or associates with documentation and witness statements.
• Investigate, write incident reports, and monitor investigations for timely completion.
• Maintain records including camera monitoring, shift logs, and access control.
• Distribute visitor badges and monitor visitor access.
• Escort special guests requiring privacy when entering/exiting the property.
• Monitor alarm systems, doors, and service areas; assist in emergencies.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional conduct at all times.
