Job summary

Dohrn Transfer is seeking a Full Time Linehaul Driver at the Ankeny terminal. Pay is 0.78/mile, 0.81 after first year, with the workweek Monday–Friday, overnight. Benefits include Health/Vision/Dental, 401k matching, life insurance, disability, and more.

A quarterly safety incentive bonus of $250 is offered, with potential to earn up to $1,000 annually. Responsibilities include driving long-distance between terminals, loading/unloading freight, inspecting vehicles for safety, and maintaining

Qualifications

• Minimum age 23
• 1 year verifiable tractor-trailer experience
• Pass road test by Dohrn Drive Trainer
• Hazardous Materials/Tanker endorsements on CDL
• One valid CDL from resident state
• No DUI/OWI or Reckless Driving in last 5 years
• Maintain clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
• DOT physical and drug screen
• Consent to 10-year work history check
• Must read/write English and do basic math

Responsibilities

• Drive tractor-trailer long-distance between terminals
• Load/unload freight; use equipment as needed
• Frequent lifting up to 100 pounds
• Secure freight as required
• Inspect vehicle for defects and safety
• Comply with DOT and company policies
• Maintain required logs and records
• Operate in accordance with regulations
