Job summary

Avera Health is seeking an Overnight Lead | Housekeeper to maintain clean patient rooms, offices and common areas in a fast-paced hospital setting. You will stock supplies, assist staff, and act as a resource when leadership isn’t available, with weekend and holiday rotation.

The role requires reliability, attention to detail, and ability to work 10:00pm–6:30am; 80 hours every two weeks, with every other weekend and holiday. Benefits include PTO from day 1 and retirement matching.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains a clean environment in patient rooms, terminals, offices, nurse's stations, lounges, hallways, bathrooms, kitchens, elevators and lobbies.
  • Participates in all cleaning activities: dusting, washing, mopping, vacuuming and trash disposal.
  • Keeps assigned area stocked with supplies (paper towels, toilet paper, etc.).
  • Manages stock on cleaning carts including wet and dry supplies.
  • Acts as a resource to staff and delegates tasks as needed.

$18.00 - $22.00

A Brief Overview

Responsible for maintaining a clean work environment in assigned areas which may include, but not be limited to: patient rooms, terminals, offices, nurse's stations, lounges, hallways, bathrooms, kitchen areas, elevators, and lobby areas. Serves as a Resource to staff members when leadership is not available.

What you will do

  • Maintains a clean/neat environment in working area. These areas may include, but not be limited to: patient rooms, terminals, offices, nurse's stations, lounges, hallways, bathrooms, kitchen areas, elevators, and lobby areas.
  • Participates in all cleaning activities as assigned. These may include, but not be limited to dusting, washing, drying, mopping, vacuuming, moving furniture, and emptying trash.
  • Keeps assigned area fully stocked with supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, etc.
  • Responsible for maintaining stock on individual cleaning carts including wet and dry supplies.
  • Maintain good customer relations at all times by demonstrating a good rapport and cooperative working relationship with employees, all departments, coworkers and other pertinent staff.
  • Responsible for managing workload and delegating tasks as needed to other staff members.
  • Maintain competency and serve as a Resource to staff members as needed.

Preferred Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience

  • High School or GED Equivalent
  • Related experience and/or training
