Avera Health at Avera St Mary's Hospital is seeking a dedicated Environmental Services Associate to maintain a clean and safe patient environment on rotating shifts. This role involves cleaning patient rooms, offices, lounge areas, and hallways with attention to detail and teamwork.

The position requires reliable communication, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work on evenings and every other weekend, with occasional on-call).

Qualifications

• Ability to work the hours specified and communicate effectively with others.
• Visual acuity adequate to perform duties.
• High School or GED Equivalent required.

Responsabilités

• Mantains a clean/neat environment in working area such as patient rooms, offices, lounges, hallways and lobby areas.
• Participates in all cleaning activities including dusting, washing, mopping and trash disposal.
• Keeps assigned area stocked with supplies like paper towels and toilet paper.
• Maintains stock on cleaning carts with wet and dry supplies.
• Maintains good customer relations at all times.
• May sort, wash and deliver linens.

Pay Range: $17.50 - $21.50

A Brief Overview

Responsible for maintaining a clean work environment in assigned areas which may include, but not be limited to: patient rooms, terminals, offices, nurse's stations, lounges, hallways, bathrooms, kitchen areas, elevators, and lobby areas.

What you will do

• Maintains a clean/neat environment in working area. These areas may include, but not be limited to: patient rooms, terminals, offices, nurse's stations, lounges, hallways, bathrooms, kitchen areas, elevators, and lobby areas.
• Participates in all cleaning activities as assigned. These may include, but not be limited to: dusting, washing, drying, mopping, vacuuming, moving furniture, and emptying trash.
• Keeps assigned area fully stocked with supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, etc.
• Responsible for maintaining stock on individual cleaning carts including wet and dry supplies.
• Maintain good customer relations at all times.
• May sort, wash, and accurately deliver linens.

The individual must be able to work the hours specified. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job function satisfactorily including having visual acuity adequate to perform position duties and the ability to communicate effectively with others, hear, understand and distinguish speech and other sounds. Preferred Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience

• High School or GED Equivalent
• One to three months related experience
