Qualifications

• Graduate of an ACPE accredited College of Pharmacy.
• Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Pharmacy.
• Eligible for licensure as a pharmacist in Illinois within 60 days.
• Completion of ASHP PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency.
• 2–4 years hospital pharmacy experience preferred (or as required if no PGY-1).
• Board certification or oncology experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accuracy and safety of medication orders prior to dispensing.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and manage order entry, IV therapy coordination, and STAT delivery.
• Monitor drug use criteria and clinical pathways to optimize therapy.
• Document interventions and advise on alternative therapies when needed.
• Assist in orientation and training of new staff.
