Job summary

Target is hiring an Inbound Expert in General Merchandise to support guest service and efficient store operations in Portland, ME. The role focuses on greeting guests, helping them find items, and ensuring accurate pricing and stock availability on the sales floor.

Qualifications

• Guest service fundamentals and experience supporting a guest-first culture across the store.
• Retail business fundamentals, including department sales trends, inventory management, and process efficiency and improvement.
• Executing daily/weekly workload to support business priorities and deliver on sales goals.
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and other team members.
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other tech.
• Work both independently and with a team.
• Resolve guest questions quickly on the spot.
• Attention to detail and follow multi-step processes.
• Capable of remaining focused in a fast-paced environment and handling multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Create an Easy, Inspiring and Friendly guest experience by delivering on commitments.
• Greet guests and assist to find what they need or resolve issues.
• End every guest transaction with a sincere thank you.
• Actively support team efforts and assist peers while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Stock, organize and store reserve product and straighten merchandise on the sales floor.
• Maintain product availability on the GM sales floor.
• Operate equipment as certified and follow safety guidelines.
