Job summary

Target in Maine, South Portland, is hiring an Inbound Expert to support General Merchandise operations on the sales floor. You will sort, stock, and organize merchandise, maintain product availability, and assist guests with a welcoming, efficient shopping experience.

The role emphasizes safety, compliance, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment, with flexible hours including nights and weekends. You will operate handheld scanners and powered equipment as needed and help with back-up cashier

Qualifications

• Guest service fundamentals and a guest-first culture.
• Retail fundamentals including sales trends, inventory, and process improvement.
• Experience executing daily/weekly workload to support priorities and sales goals.

Responsibilities

• Execute a detailed, accurate sorting operation.
• Stock, organize and store reserve product and straighten merchandise on sales floor.
• Maintain product availability on the salesfloor for GM categories.
• Operate powered equipment as necessary while unloading freight or moving merchandise.
• Process defective merchandise and handle ESIM items in compliance with laws.
• Demonstrate safety and ethical conduct; follow policies and training.
• Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pickup, and Drive Up while complying with laws.
• Greet guests and assist with their needs to create a welcoming experience.
