Job summary

Omni Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Loss Prevention Officer for overnight coverage at our Carlsbad property. The role focuses on safety, enforcement of hotel policies, incident reporting, and maintaining calm, professional interactions with guests and staff.

Qualified candidates should have a clean background, be able to work flexible day/evening/overnight hours, and possess or obtain required certifications such as TIPS and CPR. Prior security experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have a background check without serious criminal record.
• Must attain a valid TIPS Alcohol Certification upon hire.
• CPR Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as an extension of the General Manager and perform assigned tasks.
• Observe and report in writing on all assignments.
• Use radio equipment and maintain accurate records with proper telephone etiquette.
• Patrol the hotel property and report all unsafe conditions.
• Maintain knowledge of fire and life safety procedures and hotel policies.
• Protect hotel, guest and employee property and know emergency procedures.
• Complete specific assigned tasks and assist with pool chemistry follow-up.
• Enforce hotel policies and ensure professional appearance and attitude.
