Job summary

Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals, Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support inpatient and outpatient pharmacy operations.

You will assist in the preparation and filling of medications, replenish Pyxis machines, and help maintain stock and documentation. This full-time role requires a high school diploma, pharmacy technician certification, sterile compounding experience, and the ability to work the overnight biweekly 7-on/7-off shift.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• CPhT and RPT certifications required upon hire.
• Sterile compounding experience and aseptic technique knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Prepares drug orders from Physicians for review and dispensing by a Pharmacist.
• Replenishes Pyxis machines and monitors fridge temperatures.
• Counts, compounds and repackages pharmaceuticals per established procedures.
• Performs IV preparation and transports IVs to nursing areas.
• Performs billing/crediting functions and ensures proper waste documentation.
