Job summary

Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals, Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for a biweekly 76-hour overnight shift, reporting to the Pharmacy Manager and supervised by staff pharmacists.

The role supports inpatient and outpatient services, ensuring medications and tools are available for clinical teams and patients. The ideal candidate will have hospital pharmacy technician experience, sterile compounding skills, and current CPhT and RPT credentials.

Qualifications

• 2 years of hospital pharmacy technician experience.
• 1 year of sterile compounding experience.
• Passing score of 90% on calculation and aseptic preparation exams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare drug orders for dispensing by a pharmacist.
• Replenish Pyxis machines and monitor refrigerator temperatures.
• Assist in dispensing medications and restocking inventory.
• Handle billing/crediting functions per hospital policies.
• Assist with IV preparation using aseptic technique and transporting to nursing units.
