Job summary

Right at Home is seeking overnight caregivers in Minnesota to support seniors and adults with disabilities. You will provide essential personal care, companionship, and meal support, working part-time overnight shifts with a competitive hourly rate.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Must be able to lift/move 50 lbs without assistance.
• English literacy required for reading and communication.
• Valid driver’s license and current auto insurance.
• Background check required; 18+ years of age.
• Home Health Aide certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living for clients in their home.
• Provide personal care and supervise daily routines as directed.
• Assist with housekeeping: vacuum, dust, mop, dishes, laundry, bathrooms.
• Prepare meals and snacks following instructions.
• Escort clients to errands or medical appointments.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, and grooming as needed.
• Provide medication reminders and range-of-motion assistance.
• Offer dementia care and companionship activities.

Responsibilities and Duties

In this role, you will have the chance to perform personal care activities that assist the client with activities of daily living, which include (but are not limited to):

• Assisting with transferring/moving client from place to place throughout their home
• Performing housekeeping activities which include (but are not limited to): vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry and cleaning the bathroom
• Preparing meals and snacks according to instructions
• Accompanying client on errands or medical appointments
• Bathing/Showering/Dressing/Shaving
• Medication reminders
• Assisting with prescribed range of motion exercises
• Dementia care
• Companionship activities such as reading, music, puzzles, etc.

Qualifications and Skills:

• High school graduate or G.E.D. certificate preferred.
• Must be able to lift/move 50 lbs without assistance
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job
• Possess a valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance
• Pass a background check
• 18+ years of age
• Home Health Aide, Personal Care Aide certification preferred
