Job summary

Louisiana Association on Compulsive Gambling is seeking a Shift Supervisor to oversee overnight Helpline operations. The role requires leading the overnight team, ensuring accurate data entry, and maintaining complete shift reports.

You will supervise staff, support training, ensure quality of care, and coordinate scheduling and supply management. This is a full-time, in-person role with 40+ hours weekly and benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school Diploma or GED equivalen t; related college degree preferred; and have 1 year managerial experience, customer service experience and/or experience in working with a Helpline.
• Organized, self-initiator, goal-oriented, team player and efficient in daily tasks.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to prioritize and manage time efficiently.
• Creative problem solver who thrives when presented with a challenge.
• Encourager of team and staff; able to mentor and lead.
• Great people-person skills and professional attitude.
• Proficient computer skills, with ability to learn software programs including iCarol, FileMakerPro, Excel, and MS Word.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the overnight shift Helpline Specialist.
• Assist with ensuring data entered by staff is accurate.
• Ensure intakes, chat and text are entered and completed by end of shifts; verify call log completeness.
• Complete and review End of Shift Reports.
• Assist with personnel supervision, training, mentoring and guidance.
• Provide supervision over quality of care and report deficiencies.
• Maintain the facility; keep bathrooms, kitchen areas clean; report deficiencies.
• Assist in quality control and completion of contact surveys and follow-ups.
• Assist with training for new and current staff, interns and volunteers; ensure policy adherence.
• Assist all staff in all departments as needed.
• Answer calls, chat and text; cover shifts unfilled due to illness or absences.
• Assist with monthly/daily staff scheduling to ensure proper coverage.
• Maintain Helpline inventory and office/kitchen supplies; report deficiencies.
• Ensure procedures and protocols are followed.
• Participate in ongoing trainings.
• Assist with Helpline Specialist performance reviews.
• Prepare mail-out information when requested.
