Qualifications

  • Previous management or supervisory experience in hospitality, resort, hotel, or wedding/event venues.
  • Strong customer service and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions during overnight hours.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills.
  • Comfortable with physical activity, including walking the property and light lifting.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Overnight shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Overtime may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the on-site Manager on Duty during overnight shifts.
  • Handle after-hours guest check-in/check-out and reservations as needed.
  • Answer and route incoming guest calls with professional etiquette.
  • Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Conduct routine property patrols to ensure safety and security.
  • Coordinate with security staff during events when applicable.
  • Oversee overnight hotel and resort operations.
  • Complete meeting room and event setup transitions, including furniture movement.
  • Inspect vacant rooms and facilities; report maintenance or housekeeping issues.
  • Shut down utilities in unused areas to support cost control efforts.
  • Balance cash banks and handle register transactions.
  • Communicate overnight activity and key updates to incoming management and front desk teams.

About the Role

Wonder Valley Ranch Resort is seeking a dependable, service-driven Overnight Guest Services & Safety Manager (MOD) to oversee resort operations during overnight hours. This position serves as the on-site leader after hours, ensuring guest satisfaction, safety, and smooth resort operations when other departments are not present.

The ideal candidate is confident working independently, comfortable making decisions, and committed to providing an exceptional guest experience—even in the quietest hours of the night.

What You’ll Do

As the Overnight MOD, you’ll be responsible for maintaining operational excellence and guest satisfaction throughout the property by:

  • Serving as the on-site Manager on Duty during overnight shifts
  • Handling after-hours guest check-in/check-out and reservations as needed
  • Answering and routing incoming guest calls with professional phone etiquette
  • Resolving guest concerns promptly and professionally
