Zoox is seeking a Team Lead for Ground Operations (3rd Shift) in Atlanta to drive overnight fleet maintenance, rework, and mission readiness. Lead a team of technicians and readiness associates, optimize workflows, and coordinate across sites to maximize fleet uptime and daytime operations readiness.

The role emphasizes coaching, safety, and data-driven improvements, with a focus on CAN/LIN diagnostics, wiring, and hands-on leadership in a startup-like environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on automotive technician experience.
• 2+ years of people leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of CAN/LIN architecture, wiring diagrams, and soldering.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to translate technical details for cross-functional stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Overnight shift leadership: direct leadership, coaching, and mentorship to technical staff and contract personnel during the 3rd shift.
• Lead overnight maintenance and rework activities to maximize daytime availability and service efficiency.
• Develop and train workshop personnel; recruit, onboard, and build a high-performance culture.
• Manage schedules and track KPIs; provide feedback to help the team achieve mission goals.
• Ensure safety compliance and lean improvements in overnight workflows.
