Job summary

Grand Hotel Golf Resort & Spa is seeking a Gate Attendant to be the first point of contact for guests arriving at our front gate. You will monitor access, greet guests, and provide directions while ensuring security and a welcoming atmosphere at the property in Point Clear, AL.

You will communicate with security and resort staff via radio, verify reservations, and assist guests with parking and lobby information.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal communication and guest-service focus.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with two-way radio communications.
• Basic computer skills to verify reservations.
• Attention to safety and security procedures.
• Hospitality, security, or customer service experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Warm welcome and assist guests at the gate.
• Provide directions and information on hotel amenities.
• Monitor access and verify authorization for entry.
• Verify identity and purpose of visitors.
• Assist with parking and venue directions.
• Maintain smooth traffic flow during peak times.
• Communicate with security and other departments via radio.
• Use gatehouse computer to check reservations and arrivals.
• Notice and report unusual activity.
• Relay information clearly to guests and team members.
