Job summary

Grand Hotel Golf Resort & Spa, Autograph Collection is seeking a Gate Attendant to be the first contact for guests and visitors at the front gate. You will monitor traffic, grant access to authorized vehicles, and provide directions and information to ensure a welcoming and secure entrance.

This is an independent front-gate role working with hotel staff via radio, using the gatehouse computer to verify reservations and arrivals.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal communication and guest-service demeanor.
• Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable using two-way radio systems for professional communication.
• Basic computer proficiency to look up and verify reservation details.
• Strong attention to detail and awareness for safety/security practices.
• Hospitality, security, or customer service experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and visitors with a friendly and professional demeanor to create an inviting first impression.
• Provide clear directions and information about hotel amenities, facilities, and services.
• Monitor and manage incoming traffic, allowing entry only to authorized vehicles, including guests, members, and approved visitors.
• Verify the identity and purpose of entrants in accordance with security protocols.
• Assist guests with parking, venue locations, and hotel policies.
• Manage peak arrival times to ensure smooth vehicle access.
• Communicate with security personnel and departments via radio to uphold safety and service standards.
• Use the gatehouse computer to verify reservation details and track arrivals.
• Remain alert for unusual activity and promptly notify appropriate personnel of security concerns.
• Relay important information clearly to guests, visitors, and team members.

As a Gate Attendant, you will be the first point of contact for guests and visitors arriving at our resort. Your warm welcome and exceptional service will set the tone for their experience. This role is responsible for monitoring incoming traffic, ensuring only authorized vehicles gain access, and providing helpful information and directions. By maintaining a secure and welcoming entrance, you contribute to an atmosphere of hospitality and safety for all guests, members, and visitors.

This is an independent position, as you will be working on your own at the front gate. Communication with property staff and departments will be handled via radio, including announcing guest check-ins as they arrive.

• Computer Use: Operate the gatehouse computer to verify reservation details, track arrivals, and provide accurate guest information.
• Observation & Reporting: Remain alert for any unusual activity, promptly notifying the appropriate personnel of security concerns.
• Effective Communication: Relay important information clearly to guests, visitors, and team members to enhance overall efficiency.
