Job summary

IHG Army Hotels is seeking a Front Desk Associate to warmly welcome guests, manage check-ins/outs, answer calls, and handle reservations. The role requires strong communication, cash handling, and comfort with overnight shifts within our military-focused hospitality program at Fort Benning.

You will balance nightly transactions, prepare daily financial reports, and coordinate with departments to meet guest needs. The position emphasizes security of guest data and service excellence.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of customer service, hospitality, front desk, or related experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently during overnight hours.
• Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn hotel management systems.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and cash-handling skills.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently. Additional languages are a plus.
• Positive attitude and commitment to providing outstanding guest service.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests in a friendly, professional manner.
• Complete guest check-ins and check-outs accurately.
• Answer incoming phone calls and provide information about hotel services and amenities.
• Process room reservations, modifications, and cancellations.
• Handle cash, credit card, and other payment transactions in accordance with company procedures.
• Perform nightly audit functions, balancing daily transactions and completing required reports.
• Prepare and transmit daily accounting and financial reports for management review.
• Respond promptly to guest questions, concerns, and service requests.
• Resolve guest issues professionally and ensure guest satisfaction through appropriate service recovery.
• Coordinate with other hotel departments to communicate guest needs and operational updates.
• Maintain security and confidentiality of guest information and hotel assets.
• Assist with special requests and perform other duties as assigned.
