Job summary

Zoox in Miami, FL is seeking a Team Lead for Ground Operations on the 3rd shift to drive overnight fleet maintenance, rework, and mission readiness. You will lead a team of vehicle technicians and readiness associates, optimize workflows, and partner with cross-functional teams to meet nightly targets.

Responsibilities include directing maintenance and prep, analyzing fleet data for root-cause issues, and ensuring safety and operational standards across the depot.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on automotive technician experience.
• 2+ years of people leadership or supervisory experience.
• Willingness to lead overnight operations (3rd shift).
• Strong knowledge of automotive maintenance, diagnostics, parts, tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to translate technical details.

Responsibilities

• Lead overnight shift staff, including technicians and contract personnel.
• Recruit, onboard, and train workshop personnel; foster high-performance culture.
• Manage schedules and time-off; track KPIs and provide feedback.
• Lead overnight maintenance and rework to maximize daytime availability.
• Escalate complex technical issues and ensure quality standards.
• Analyze fleet data for root-cause analysis and downtime prevention.
• Enforce safety policies and maintain orderly workshop per OSHA.
