Job summary

SAFE Alliance seeks a full-time, third-shift Family Shelter Resident Advisor for Grove Campus in East Austin. The RA will deliver immediate resident support, assist in creating a welcoming, client-focused environment, and work with shelter staff to promote safety and empowerment for survivors.

Primary duties include front desk coverage, crisis intervention, trauma-informed care, and ensuring accurate shelter documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field.
• Equivalent years of professional-level relevant experience acceptable in lieu of a degree.
• Clear and accurate English communication, both verbal and written.
• One to two years of crisis intervention experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Builds strong client relationships and provides front desk coverage as needed.
• Help orient survivors to the shelter and support communal living.
• Develops safety plans and educates survivors on safety throughout program participation.
• Adheres to trauma-informed care and restorative justice approaches.
• Ensures shift coverage and completes shelter intake and documentation.
