Job summary

Westford Veterinary Emergency Referral Center in Westford, MA is seeking an Overnight Emergency Technician Assistant to join our ER/ICU team. You will assist with restraint, daily hospital tasks, in-house lab work, radiology, and patient care on a 24/7 hospital floor.

Requirements include a high school diploma and at least 6 months in a veterinary or animal handling role. The position offers competitive pay of $20–$22 per hour, with benefits and growth opportunities within Rarebreed Veterinary

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months experience in veterinary or animal handling
• Must be a team player with a positive attitude
• Able to multitask and lift 50 pounds

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate restraint methods and assist in daily hospital maintenance
• Assist with in-house lab work, radiology, and treatments
• Clean cages, runs and perform routine cleaning to hospital standards
• Provide compassionate care to clients and patients
• Fill medications for outpatients and inpatients as instructed
• Maintain professional relationships with team members
• Assist in emergencies (bleeding control, meds/fluids, CPR)
