Job summary

Animal Emergency & Specialty Center - Knoxville is seeking an overnight Emergency Veterinary Technician to join our ER team on a mid/swing shift. This full-time role offers high-acuity emergency medicine, collaboration with ICU, internal medicine, surgery, and oncology, and opportunities for advanced skill development.

You'll perform rapid assessments, assist with stabilization, anesthesia monitoring, and client education while delivering compassionate care in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in Emergency, ICU, or high-volume General Practice.
• Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT, RVT, CVT) with active license.
• Emergency or specialty hospital experience.
• Strong nursing and technical skills in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Assist with emergency triage, stabilization, and urgent interventions.
• Perform rapid patient assessments and initiate treatment protocols.
• Support emergency procedures including CPR, oxygen therapy, and shock management.
• Administer medications and manage anesthesia induction and monitoring.
• Maintain detailed medical records and assist with handoffs to ICU/specialty teams.
• Collaborate with ER doctors, ICU and specialty teams to ensure continuity of care.
