Animal Emergency & Specialty Center - Knoxville is seeking a Mid-Shift Emergency Veterinary Technician to join our ER team. The role focuses on high-acuity emergency medicine with collaboration across ICU, internal medicine, and specialty services.

We require a Licensed Veterinary Technician with 2+ years in emergency settings. Expect a fast-paced environment, strong teamwork, and opportunities for advanced credentialing. Full-time, on-site with varied evening shifts.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in Emergency, ICU, or high-volume General Practice.
• Licensed Veterinary Technician with ER/Specialty experience preferred.
• Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Willingness to pursue advanced training or VTS (ECC).

Responsibilities

• Assist with emergency triage, stabilization, and urgent interventions.
• Perform rapid patient assessments and initiate treatment protocols.
• Support emergency procedures including CPR, oxygen therapy, and shock management.
• Administer medications via IV, IM, SQ, and oral routes.
• Maintain detailed medical records and assist with client education.
