Animal Emergency & Specialty Center of Knoxville is seeking a part-time weekend overnight Emergency Veterinary Technician to join our ER team. This role supports high-acuity patients in a true emergency setting and offers pathways for credentialing and skill development.

Join a collaborative team with ICU and specialty colleagues, focusing on rapid decision-making, patient stabilization, and compassionate nursing care in a demanding environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in Emergency, ICU, or high-volume General Practice.
• Licensed Veterinary Technician with active credentials.
• Strong nursing and technical skills for fast-paced ERs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with emergency triage, stabilization, and urgent interventions.
• Perform rapid patient assessments and initiate treatment protocols.
• Support CPR, oxygen therapy, and shock management in ER.
• Administer medications by IV, IM, SQ, and oral routes.
• Maintain medical records and coordinate transfers to ICU or specialty.
