Job summary

Dallas/Fort Worth Airport Marriott in Irving, TX is seeking a skilled hotel maintenance engineer to operate and maintain central HVAC equipment, electrical, plumbing and related systems. You will troubleshoot issues, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure compliance with corporate procedures.

Candidates should have hotel engineering experience, vocational training or applicable certification, ability to read blueprints, good communication, and physical stamina to work in an office-like

Qualifications

• Previous hotel engineering experience, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, commercial kitchen and general building construction.
• Vocational training, associate's degree, certification and/or apprenticeship in one or more area; state certification or licensure where required.
• Understand and efficiently maintain and operate advanced electrical, plumbing, refrigeration and boiler systems.
• Read and understand blueprints, schematic drawings and technical parts breakdown.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Physical Requirements (In-Office Role)
• Ability to work in a standard office environment.
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. (6-8 hours a day)
• Occasional standing and walking throughout the workday.
• Frequent fine motor skills, use of hands and fingers for keyboarding/typing, utilizing a mouse or trackpad, writing, and operating office equipment.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Occasionally required to stand, walk, bend, reach, or carry items.
• Ability to lift and/or move 10–25 pounds as needed (e.g., files, office supplies).
• Visual ability to read from a computer screen and printed materials including close visual focus for extended periods and color differentiation (for certain roles).
