Job summary

Mr C. Hotels in Irving, TX is seeking an experienced Hotel Maintenance Engineer to operate and maintain central HVAC, electrical, plumbing and related systems. You will ensure safe, efficient functioning of hotel facilities and equipment, while following corporate procedures.

Successful candidates will perform preventive and predictive maintenance, read schematics, and troubleshoot issues to keep the property running smoothly and safely for guests and staff.

Qualifications

• Previous hotel engineering experience required, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, commercial kitchen and general building construction.
• State certification or licensure where required.
• Understand and efficiently operate electrical, plumbing, refrigeration and boiler systems.
• Read blueprints, schematic drawings and technical parts breakdown.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• High work ethic and self-initiative.

What you will be doing

Requirements

What we are looking for

• Previous hotel engineering experience required, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, commercial kitchen and general building construction
• Vocational training, associate's degree, certification and/or apprenticeship in one or more area; state certification or licensure where required
• Understand and efficiently maintain and operate advanced electrical, plumbing, refrigeration and boiler systems.

• Physical Requirements (In-Office Role)
• Ability to work in a standard office environment.
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. (6-8 hours a day)
• Occasional standing and walking throughout the workday.
• Frequent fine motor skills, use of hands and fingers for keyboarding/typing, utilizing a mouse or trackpad, writing, and operating office equipment.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Occasionally required to stand, walk, bend, reach, or carry items.
• Ability to lift and/or move 10–25 pounds as needed (e.g., files, office supplies).
• Visual ability to read from a computer screen and printed materials including close visual focus for extended periods and color differentiation (for certain roles).
